Find a snus that you like and suits your needs. There are many different types and flavors, everything from fruity flavored to plain tobacco, white mini pouches to loose snus. There will more than likely be one that is just right for you!
Cut down your smoking to about 3 cigarettes a day. Smoke these at certain times and use snus in between when you need to. Gradually replace the last cigarettes with snus. Of course if you feel that you can quit smoking straight away then that’s great!

For harm reduction purpose Swedish snus is a great alternative to cigarettes. Switching to snus will decrease the risk of death from a tobacco-related disease, such as oral cancer, lung cancer, coronary diseases, by 90 percent.
The dangerous effects of cigarette smoking occur primarily during the burning of tobacco. If you don’t want to quit nicotine and still avoid the danger with smoking, simply switch to Swedish snus.
In Europe it is the Swedish men, who use snus more than cigarettes; who have the lowest risk of dying of a tobacco-related disease. Swedish women have about the same risk as other women in Europe.

Snus is basically a moist powder tobacco which you place under your lip. There are two different types; loose snus and portion snus.
Loose snus is a moist powder which can be portioned and packed with the fingertips or a snus portioner, for example a Primaster or Icetool.
Portion snus is prepackaged moist powder in small teabag-like sachets and is available in three different sizes: mini, medium, normal/large and maxi.
Original Portion which was introduced in 1977 is brown and moist. The White Portion is drier and has a milder taste.
